Safety and related event
On Saturday and Sunday, the Meeting Brno festival, which includes a gathering of Sudeten Germans, will also take place at the exhibition centre. It is in no way related to Animefest, it takes place in pavilion P at the opposite end of the exhibition centre, it will be separated from Animefest by a fence and will use other entrances (P and G) for its visitors. This event is quite controversial in the eyes of part of the public, so protests are planned against it. However, some of the protesters are not very familiar with Brno, so it may happen that you encounter them around our gates as well. Therefore, we are cooperating with the exhibition centre's security team when organizing the entry of visitors. The police will also supervise safety and are prepared to proactively reinforce patrols around the entrance gates. Please follow the instructions of the organizers, security and police.
In connection with the above, supplementary rules for costumes will apply this year:
In the event that your costumes include airsoft guns or any weapons that look even remotely realistic, carry them wrapped or in luggage outside the venue.
If you planned to bring a costume that might resemble something from the period of the Second or even First World War (military uniforms, some anime costumes, historical alternatives, etc.), you had better leave it at home this year. If you cannot imagine Animefest without it, arrive in civilian clothes and change only in our changing rooms. Even in such a case, however, count on the variant that the police or organizers may evaluate such a costume as a provocation and you will, in the best case, be sent to the changing room, in the worse case, expelled from the event for a gross violation of the rules.
Accommodation in school
Any visitor may use the ZS Kotlářská. There are several rooms available. Don't forget your sleeping bag and anything to be comfortable. School will be open on Friday from 2pm, you can leave your baggage there and come to the exhibition ground. We must leave the school on Sunday by 4pm. You can use the gallery in hall A1 to store baggage on Sunday.

Cold weapons and dangerous or potentially dangerous props are only allowed in softer designs or as unused fixed costume components.
